Food reveiws:

Mitzi's exploration of downtown Cary's culinary delights!

 Annelore's reveiw:

If you are looking for a place with authentic German treats, incredible atmosphere, and impeccable staff, choose Annelore’s!When you walk in you are greeted with a sweet chocolatey aroma and an array of cakes, cookies, meringues, and pretzels! I would recommend their Munich chocolate cake and bavarian pretzel! The Munich chocolate cake has an amazing red curry jam center that compliments the chocolate cake flavor well, and the bavarian pretzel has a perfect ratio of

pretzel to salt! All and all, I think that you should choose Annelore’s!

El Amigo Mexican Restaurant:

From the outside, El Amigo looks kind of sketchy, but the inside is a whole different look! It has 2 seating to 4 seating tables and little blue tablecloths, which I thought added a nice overall look to the restaurant. The building looked a little bit old and the menu was confusing. They do also have a little shelter with outdoor seating if you do not prefer indoor seating.

A nice girl served us and she was really nice, but I asked for a cup of water and they forgot it! I also ordered a cheese quesadilla! It took about 8 minutes for them to bring it out and it was so good! The layers of quesadilla were really nice, and the cheese was gooey and melty! I do recommend this restaurant because the food was really good!

Di Fara restaurant:

At Di Fara I ordered a cheese pizza. It took about 20 to 30 minutes for them to bring it out and to be honest it was a disappointment! The pizza was covered in basil, like covered with so much basil! I took off the basil, but the pizza still tasted like it!  Although, the crust of the cheese pizza was very crunchy and tasted good because it was slightly buttery. The garlic knots were really good, and they came with some oil and butter, and like garlic knots are supposed to be they were very garlicky and bready.I would not recommend this to kids, because I did not like the basil and I do not know if other kids will either. The staff was very nice though, the service was incredible except for the time it took them to bring us our pizza, and the atmosphere was very modern and clean. In conclusion, I did not like Di Fara pizza.

Geluna Gelato: I loved Geluna Gelato! First of all the atmosphere was great and they had little crocheted gelato cones by the window with fairy lights which I loved and thought were so cute! The staff answered every question I had and was just really nice in general! I ordered the malted milk gelato and it was super creamy and tasted really good! The price for the gelato was reasonable and really good, and he didn’t even let us give him a tip because of how nice we were, he just swiped the screen away! The seating was really comfortable! I would definitely recommend this. It was so good!

Kababish cafe: The atmosphere was amazing! It had blue lighting, a colorful wall with their logo and a cute little fountain! I ordered the chicken burger, I did not care for it. The fries had an outer layer crispy shell,I did not like it like that, and the burger had too many toppings on it .It had tomatoes, cucumbers, meat and cheese, it seemed too chaotic for me. I also ordered a mango smoothie and to me, it did not even taste like mango. The staff there was very nice though. All and all, If you like Indian food I do think that you should go here.

Chocolate Smiles: I loved chocolate smiles! There were 2 people working there and they were really nice. The chocolate was really creamy and they had the widest variety I’ve ever seen, they had chocolate dipped Oreos, snappers, taffy and sugar charms! The atmosphere was even better! They had a cute little gift shop and other brands of candy! This was my favorite place! Please go here, you will have zero regrets! They even have nut free options! The staff also answers every question you have! The staff seemed very knowledgeable and like they knew exactly what they were doing. They shared how they made their chocolate and some of the models they use. This made the experience even better!
