Annelore’s is not too far from downtown Cary lies a beautiful German bakery. Annelore’s is a nice German bakery where everything is nice and up to date. When you walk into Annelore’s there is a sweet smell of pastries from macarons to cakes. The decor is up to date where there are nice flowers and plantings everywhere. The american flags and also red white and blue stars are really picking up on the fourth of july theme. With 13 kids coming in and trying to order it was a breeze. The servers were very quick and knew all the flavors of the cakes and maybe even the macarons if that's what you are in for. The owner was originally from Germany and her family and herself were all bakers and her family has been baking since 1665. I ordered a Boisé rose and a small macaron. They’re both very scrumptious and delectable. The rose was nice and crunchy on the outside. It was truly colored orange, but I was also dipped in chocolate with rainbow candy sugar balls. The inside of the Boisé rose was soft and chewy when you started eating, it tasted absolutely amazing, but as I kept eating, it started to become blended and sticky. The macaron was flooring, it absolutely tasted amazing altogether with the macaron in the shell toasted like a graham cracker, and the filling tasted like a marshmallow. Once I ate halfway through I was pleasantly surprised by the chocolate in the middle. Overall, it was a great experience that I would easily recommend to anyone who loves great pastries. Everything was great from the ambiance. Annelore’s is a great spot in downtown Cary that will have anything that you might be wanting when you have a sweet tooth or needing some bread for a special occasion
Located just .4 miles from downtown Cary and all of its amenities is El Amigo Mexican restaurant. Even though the outside of the restaurant is not the prettiest, the inside is ready to welcome all that come. On the right side there is nice seating with many tables for 4. The outside patio has a nice barn covering all of the seating. The waitstaff was very kind and asked what you wanted and then asked if you were ok on what came on the side. I ordered steak and cheese tacos with a side of chips. Once we sat down and everyone had ordered it was a very quick wait that was only about 5 minutes long. My group had 13 kids in it and everyone loved their food. The steak was nice, juicy and tender with a great flavor. Sadly for some part of my tacos the steak was tiny and had too much fat on it. The cheese was smooth and stringy that coated all the steak, the cheese really brought it all together. With nice garnishes on the side it has what you need to go along with your tacos. I would not usually recommend it but if you are in a pinch it is good! The waitstaff is nice and the service is quick but if you are into Mexican food and you are around then you should go. Instead of getting the steak I would highly recommend getting the chicken.
On the outside of this beautiful nicely tucked away restaurant in downtown Cary North Carolina. Di Fara is a based New York restaurant where they have only two locations in the world. The places are here in downtown Cary and New York. When you walk in the music is upbeat and there are many TVs around to support many groups of people at anytime. The waiters and waitresses were very friendly and made sure everybody got what they wanted. The food was amazing. We ordered garlic knots, the chaos pizza, the white pizza, and a classic cheese pizza. I tried the garlic knots and the cheese pizza, and let me tell you that it did not disappoint. The garlic knots were fluffy and airy on the inside and nice parmesan coated on top. The cheese pizza was warm and crunchy and the sauce was so so good. The crust was nice and soft but also gave you enough crunch to give you a great bite. This place overall was such a great experience and I recommend you go to it if you are in the area and its lunch time. If you feel that you could eat like a full pizza get ready to only eat half of it. Di Fara never will disappoint.
Immediately as you walk in you have sweet aromas of gelatos of many different flavors. They had very summery flavors and it was colorful everywhere and they had ice cream cones everywhere. Unlike most restaurants these days they have a viewing window of how they make the gelato. The staff was very nice and made sure everything was on point and tasted great. I got the dark chocolate and milk chocolate chip. The dark chocolate was creamy and airy but had a nice bitter that really wrapped it up to make it dark chocolate. The milk chocolate chip was great and had huge chocolate chips. Both were great and I got them together and a wafer on top. The experience left me thrilled about my next visit and left me loving the creamy and sweet hand made gelato. The owners were very nice and make all of their things handmade. The owner told us that to make ice cream legally ice cream you have to have a certain amount of fat in it but they have way less than that. The two owners went to Carpigiani’s Gelato University in Bologna and studied about gelato there that really made them have great gelato. Plus it is great to have after you have lunch at Di fara.
