Annelore's German Bakery

Annelore's German Bakery

Annelore's German Bakery

As you pass by Annelores German Bakery you might not bat an eye at the plain building the bakery is housed in. With a group of food bloggers we walked in on a Monday afternoon to the smell of baked goods and a hint of coffee. We were greeted by an amazing server who answered all of our pastry questions.

I ordered the Lemon-Raspberry Macaroon and German Raspberry Cheesecake. The Macaroon had the vibrant color of taro with a sweet tangy smell, with the smell matching the taste. The Cheesecake requires a more acquired palette, it started out bland then turned sweet at the end because of the raspberry jam. Overall the bakery is a little slice of Europe even with the dingy appearance. You should come to this bakery.

El Amigo

On the outside, El Amigo looks like a rundown old house, however on the inside it serves some amazing Mexican food. With a group of fellow food bloggers, we walked in on a Tuesday afternoon to a empty restaurant with a burning hunger waiting to be quenched. On the inside it had a very homemade atmosphere and decor. The server we had was quick and efficient at taking our orders. I got two things there, a strawberry coconut milk drink and the chicken adobada plate. The strawberry drink had a very vibrant color, it tasted sweet but not too sweet. On the bottom there was coconut jelly that gave a nice surprise at the end. The chicken plate contained a wide variety of items that worked well together. The chicken was marinated and cooked beautifully, the riced and beans worked wonderfully together, the salad was a nice little refresher to all the carbs. Overall the restaurant might look a little rundown and small, but the food is satiating, and delicious.

Di Fara

Geluna Gelato

Geluna Gelato

A restaurant tucked away in a corner, it doesn’t look much however inside is a lively pizza and sports bar. With a group of friends, we walked in on a Wednesday afternoon to a bustling restaurant. The restaurant seems to have two sides, a pizza restaurant and a sports bar. The server was lively and attentive to all of us. With our group we got pizzas and garlic knots. The garlic knots were a zesty blend of garlic and butter with soft and yeasty bread. The pizza had a crunchy crust and the sauce was incredible. Mixed in with the toppings and garnish you are sure to have a good time. In conclusion if you want to have a good time with friends while eating good food this place is a must go.

Next to Di Fara is another hidden gem, serving gelato and other treats. Walking in full of pizza on a Wednesday afternoon, with fellow food bloggers. The inside was plain and yet so full. It may look boring at a glance, but if you look around you can see all the details scattered around. I ordered the strawberry cream cone, and it was a refreshing strawberry goodness. The cone was a sweet and crunchy masterpiece mixed withe the ice cream it was a heavenly combination. In all this gelato place is a great place to cool down, when your hot or just full.

Kababish

Hidden away in a building complex is an Indian restaurant that serves amazing food. On a Thursday afternoon, me and my friends walkeinto and  empty restaurant. The inside was a complete atmosphere change. The inside was very dark and a complete shift from the outside world. I got the Chicken Tikka Masala and the Garlic Naan. The Tikka Masala was a flavor bomb of spices and umami flavor. The Tikka Masala coated the rice perfectly making a great combination. The garlic naan was a galaxy of garlic, cilantro, and crispiness. Furthermore, I ordered a Mango Lassi it was a cool and refreshing treat. All in all, Kababish is a nice and refreshing place to eat Indian food.

Chocolate Smiles

Near our food blogging headquarters is a chocolate shopped that is owned by an incredibly nice and compassionate owner, while also serving amazing chocolate. On a Friday afternoon me and food blogging friends decided to celebrate our last day together with some chocolate. The inside was jam packed full of chocolate shelves, souvenirs, and other candy. The owner explained the way they make chocolate, while also telling her story. Overall this will be my last post and it is an honor to recommend this shop as my last. Thank You
