Annelore's: Authentic German bakery

Annelore's: authentic German pastries and sweets

This morning me and a group of thirteen others went to Annelore’s bakery. Inside the bakery there are cute star lights and a very cozy atmosphere. The staff are kind, very responsive, and they answer any questions you might have to the best of their ability. Everything looks so good that it can be very hard to choose. I eventually decided on the Feuerwetter Torte and the Cheese Pretzel. The torte was delicious. The vanilla cake was slightly dry but the cherry jam helped moisten it and the vanilla cream on top was light, airy, and very flavorful. There were even chocolate shavings on top. I highly recommend it . The pretzel was very dry like it had been sitting out for days and the cheese on top was weirdly crunchy. I think that the pretzel would have been delicious if it had been freshly baked and had been made that day. Overall it was a very nice experience and a very nice bakery that I would highly recommend though  I would not get the cheese pretzel  or any other pretzel unless it has been freshly made.

El Amigos Mexican Resturant

El Amigos Mexican restaurant

This morning me and my group went to El Amigos Mexican restaurant. When we walked in we were greeted by the delicious aroma of Mexican food and two quiet but friendly staff. The inside decor was very Spanish with multiple cacti decor and a portrait of Frida Kahlo on display and fun Mexican music. I ordered four steak tacos and they came out at a normal speed and were absolutely delicious but my friend who ordered a quesadilla had to wait a lot longer so we went up to the counter and eventually we found out that they had messed up her order. But she eventually got it and apparently it tasted good.  We had also ordered a basket of chips and salsa but we didn't get it until we were leaving and asked at the counter. I think that this would be a good restaurant if you are looking for a place to go with a smaller group and you want good Mexican food .

Di Fara Pizza Tavern

Di Fara Pizza tavern

Earlier this afternoon we went to Di Fara's Pizza tavern. The decor and atmosphere inside was covered in New York pictures, sketches, and subway signs  which felt authentic while the atmosphere was fun and lively even though we were the first people there and the staff were friendly and the music was oldies. We ordered 3 pizzas, an order of garlic knots, and  multiple drinks. They all came out at a good speed and all of them were melt in your mouth delicious. My favorite was the white pizza. It had white sauce and just the right amount of cheese. The basil on top was perfect. The crust was crunchy and thin but not burnt. It was delicious. Although it was a little bit pricey I would highly recommend it and you can buy pizza by the slice which is also good and a little less pricey. Overall the entire restaurant was definitely a hit and totally awesome and I would definitely recommend it.

Geluna Gelato

Geluna Gelato

After Di Faras we went to Geluna Gelato, a gelato and coffee shop. The staff were very friendly and told us about the differences between gelato and ice cream . The atmosphere was fun, colorful, and playful while the gelato was delicious and had many different and interesting flavors. I got the dark chocolate and strawberries and cream which were both creamy and delectable. I would most highly recommend this gelato restaurant and would definitely go back.
