Annelore German bakery

Annelore German bakery

I got a Cheese Danish and a Mushroom and Cheese Turnover. The bakery was really cute and kind of fancy, but also super spacious. The music playing reminded me of The Nutcracker, which I love. It gave the place a fun vibe, but I wish it felt a little cozier.

The workers were nice, just not super talkative. They took our order and gave us the food, but didn’t really say much. Maybe they were just tired or having a long day.

The food was okay. I really liked the Mushroom and Cheese Turnover. It had just the right amount of cheese and mushroom, and the crust was crunchy on the outside and soft and flaky inside. It was warm and really good. The Cheese Danish wasn’t as great though. The crust was kind of chewy and hard, not soft like I hoped. The cheese part tasted good and a little sweet, but I probably wouldn’t get it again.

I’d definitely come back and get another Mushroom and Cheese Turnover, but next time I’d try a different pastry instead of the Danish.

El Amigo Mexican restaurant

El Amigo Mexican

The inside of the restaurant is really nice and feels pretty authentic. It actually felt like I was in Mexico. The outside could use a little touch-up though. It kind of just looks like a random roadside restaurant, but overall it’s still nice.

For food, I ordered a cheese quesadilla and chicken tenders. I know chicken tenders aren’t Mexican, but I was really craving them last night and didn’t get the chance. I had high hopes for the quesadilla. I tried both and they were good. The quesadilla is a little plain on its own, so I recommend adding some salsa. Just don’t go for the spicy salsa unless you have a really high spice tolerance. You might regret it. But the food definitely feels authentic. The chicken tenders were crispy and crunchy, and I actually really liked them.

The staff seemed chill. They took our order and that was about it, but they were laughing and talking with each other, which made the place feel lively. When I asked for the spicy salsa, one of them raised their eyebrows and said, “Wow, only 13 and a big spice tolerance!” That was kinda fun.

Overall, the place is cool, the food is solid, and I’d probably come back. I might try something a little more exciting next time.

Di Fara Pizza

Di fara Pizza

The interior is really nice. There’s a bar and raised seating, but we sat on the regular floor level. There are 14 TVs, which is kind of crazy, and they play really good music. I love that they have chili flakes and Parmesan cheese right on the table. It’s one of my favorite things. I think we ordered cheese, pepperoni, and maybe a white pizza. It’s Brooklyn or New York-style pizza, which is my favorite. Also, the plates are super cute. They look like mini pizza pans.

The pizza was really good. I actually loved the white one, which surprised me because I usually don’t like white pizza. The cheese pizza was great too, though they did use a lot of basil. The slices were super thin, which was weird since New York slices are usually huge. The garlic knots were honestly some of the best I’ve had. They were soft, buttery, and really garlicky in a good way.

I’d totally come back to this place. It is a little pricey, but the food is delicious.

Geluna gelato

Geluna Gelato

It’s a super quaint little shop, and the workers are really nice. I got a banana caramel gelato, and it was amazing. It even came with a mini wafer, which was a cute touch. The ice cream was soft, rich, and full of flavor. I could really taste both the banana and the caramel. I would definitely come back. This was seriously so good.

Kababish cafe

Kababish Cafe

This was an Indian restraunt. The interior is very futuristic, and the lighting was really good. I ordered a chicken tikka burger and a dr.pepper. The doctor pepper tasted.. well like Dr. Pepper. The chicken burgers was really good, flavorful and all, but it wasn’t crispy like i thought it would be. It was very  delicious, I could really taste the masala and spicy ness. The fries were so good and so crispy, not soggy at all. One of the best fries i’ve ever had. I would defiantly recommend this place to a family member.
